Upcoming articles!

Upcoming articles here on Northwest Nature and History include;

Sheep!

An article about some of the hill sheep breeds that can be found in the northwest, to be followed with a 3 part series of articles entitled ‘The role of the sheep in shaping Britains landscape and history’ (expect a lot of articles about sheep, I’m writing about northwest England after all!)

Astronomy

A piece about the Spring Equinox and some of the constellations visible in March (expect a few astronomical articles too)

Natural history

A natural history article, not yet sure what though, it’ll just have to be a surprise!

Local History

And, of course, a local piece, this time about the famous Hodder Bridge Inn.

There’ll be plenty of other gubbins on here in the future, I’ve probably got something in the region of 500 articles to edit and publish and they’re all different, the only common theme is that they’re all about the Northwest of England.

A B-H

Published by Northwest nature and history

Hi, my name is Alexander Burton-Hargreaves, I live in the Northwest of England and have over two decades of experience working in and studying the fields of land management and conservation. As well as ecology and conservation, in particular upland ecology, I am also interested in photography, classical natural history books, architecture, archaeology, cooking and gardening, amongst many other things. These are all subjects I cover in my articles here and on other sites and I plan to eventually publish a series of books on the history and wildlife of Northern England.
