Thanks again for this wonderful series. I’ve just read the piece on belties. I’ve been seeing more and more of them in the Dales and the Lakes. They are also swiftly becoming my favourite cow. I may be imagining it, but I feel more comfortable crossing a hillside when they’re around, compared with other breeds.
