Padiham on Parade 2025

Here are some shots from Padiham on Parade 2025, we only had time for a flying visit so missed the main events and a lot of people had gone home by this time.

Citroen Traction Avant (I think?)
60’s Morris Pickup, I’ve always fancied owning one of these
Unusual Rat hood ornament
A replica P-51 Mustang, (Featuring my very tolerant wife Louise and my father-in-law Ian!) there is usually a replica Hurricane, the Mustang doesn’t have quite the same presence!
A beautifully maintained 50’s Ferguson F-35 ‘Gold Belly’
A Bedford QL 3-ton fire tender from the 1940s
This lovely old Vauxhall is usually parked in a drive round the corner from us, we always stop to admire it when walking past

Hi, my name is Alexander Burton-Hargreaves, I live in the Northwest of England and have over two decades of experience working in and studying the fields of land management and conservation. As well as ecology and conservation, in particular upland ecology, I am also interested in photography, classical natural history books, architecture, archaeology, cooking and gardening, amongst many other things. These are all subjects I cover in my articles here and on other sites and I plan to eventually publish a series of books on the history and wildlife of Northern England.
